One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One great experience I had was when I was racing through country roads in India on a less than reliable scooter, the most amazing landscape I have ever seen flashing by on both sides of me, passing through sleepy villages with wide eyed farmers staring at me. I had been riding like this for a while trying hard not to get killed on the crazy Indian roads, when I noticed something that looked like a long stairway leading up into a strange looking cliff shooting out of the mysterious scenery, which I approached after having parked my scooter on the side of the road. Sure enough there was a white stairway wriggliing its way up into the mountain. The place was swarming with monkeys looking at me suspicously, following my every move as I advanced up the stairs. At the top of the mountain I found a temple dedicated to the monkey god Hanuman, resided by naked men completely painted white. Nice guys. I hade the opportunity to participate in some sort of Hindu ritual. I think I have magical powers now. Also the view from there was probably the most incredible view I've ever seen. It was a special day.
