Overview
About Me
Kia Ora Couchsurfing Friends, (Kia Ora - greeting in Te Reo Maori, New Zealand)
My name is Marko (EU Kiwi from ex. Yugoslavia).
I'm circumnavigating the globe to find paradise and to meet some fabulous, interesting and amazing same-minded people around the globe; to share some worldwide experiences, while having good times.
I choose my ways around the world by striving to learn new things in life, gaining new knowledge and getting the best life experiences. I enjoy exploring new horizons by sailing, diving, hitchhiking, backpacking and couchsurfing, and am always looking for exciting water and land-based activities. Very keen on learning about different cultures, and to share my love for music, good food and being surrounded by good people.
The best way to describe myself:
I'm a "World Trotter" on the "Voyage around the Globe"
I started sailing in New Zealand in 2012, sailed/raced in NZ costal waters and cruised the Pacific Islands in 2014, where I joined voluntary organisation www.seamercy.org and worked as a Manager of a Dive Resort in Yasawas - Fiji.
In 2015 - sailed across South Indian Ocean from Bali to Mauritius, finished my RYA/MCA Yachtmaster course in South Africa and just finished the Mediterranean summer season.
WHAT DO I DO, AND WOULD LIKE TO SHARE...
Huge passion for water and land-based sport activities, music, cooking as well as teaching in undeveloped countries and volunteering for the communities around the globe.
Looking forward to meeting you soon...
Marko
