I spent 6 months studying abroad in London, England and used that time to travel all over Europe. The travel bug got me, becuase as soon as I graduated college all I could think was how to get back traveling. So I found a way to tick the next place off my bucket list: Australia. I work as an Au Pair (Live-in Nanny) and I will have been here for a year (Ending Feb 2018 - to be continued in Bali / Thailand)

I'm talkative, energetic, and I like a cider over some stories and will be completely honest with you, about my intentions. For example: I may want to go for a night out, but I will let you know honestly if I will be coming back in the AM, and I will probably try to bring you out with me ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't see CS as just a "cheap place to crash" but I look for hosts that are willing to share their experience and knowledge with me. I want to find people who would be willing to show me around their city and to tell me the best places to go and see while I am there. Even if they can't share their time with me, I want people who will share their expereince with me. I love hearing travel stories, CS stories, or just stories in general, and I may have a few to pay in return.

Interests

I LOVE MOVIES!!! I can quote or reference a few too many of them. I also enjoy exploring, animals, eating, a good view, swimming, gardens, drinking, and going out... Mostly I just "go with the flow" and follow wherever everyone else is going. So I will find something interesting in anything I do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE ALL MOVIES. I can't decide on a favorite, to many amazing ones out there. I am not much of a reader but Lord of the Flies has always held a special place in my heart. I am also always searching bookstores for "The Moth" - a collection of stories shared by people at an event called The Moth, collected into one book. I read a few of the stories from a friend's copy, now I want to find it and read the rest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

TRAVELING: I had 6 months to travel while I studied in London, England. The places I saw: Denmark, Sweden, Greece (Santorini), France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Ireland and now that I am out of school, Australia (for a year!)

My favorite trip in Europe was Santorini, Greece. Snorkeling, ATV riding, cliff jump, wine tasting at sunset, eating a lot of food, hiking to the top of a volcano, swimming to a hot spring, donkey riding... it was an epic 6 days!

My favorite thing in Australia so far has been the Figure 8 pools outside of Sydney. About an hour drive from Sydney, you can begin a 2 hour hike to this plateau where these natural pools have formed in the shape of figure 8s. Go at low tide and watch where you step because you might just fall into a 6 foot deep puddle! Amazing hike, amazing place, and of course, amazing pictures! I got to be a mermaid for a day!

I can also teach you everything I have learned on the ways to get the cheapest flights to/from ANYWHERE. Something I've learned on my various travels.

I have many "life hacks." From pitting cherries, to packing hacks... too many to recite off the top of my head, but you would be surprised!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Above all else I am respectful. I will follow any rules or expectations you have because I want to be a respectful guest. I am not much of a cook but if you like I can cook for you: my specialties = Mac n' Cheese, Grilled Cheese, Eggs, French Toast, Coffee Cake, Pancakes!

Most of all I can share my experiences: I have plenty of stories to tell from every experience in life.
