Venezuela Urban Planner, open-minded and reliable person I love to share with others and I like to pay attention to (sometimes irrelevant) details.

Interests

My personal interests are closely linked to my professional background. Since I am an Urban Planner I really enjoy learning stuff related to cities and its dynamics, and how cities could learn from each other replicating successful cases.

Other than that I am a melomaniac (music lover).

I also have a great interest in cooking, sports (swimming, cycling and running, not a triathlete but I will try someday) and movies.

I think culinary stuff as well as music are the perfect excuses to get to know people and if you do that while traveling it becomes a very good way of living.

I would like to be a university lecturer and city-planning consultant.

Music, Movies, and Books

I find of great interest Latin-American Literature. Authors like Gabriel García Márquez, Rómulo Gallegos, Aquiles Nazoa, Mario Benedetti, Mario Vargas Llosa, Ernesto Sábato, among others are always a source of great knowledge while spreading ways people used to live decades (centuries) ago.

I also like thrillers and spy novels, Agatha Christie, John LeCarré, John Katzenbach, Dan Brown, I enjoy all of them.

Regarding music I love to listen to all kinds of genre, beginning with my roots, I find Venezuelan folklore music the best of all. Joropos, Gaitas, Fulías, Polos, Joropo Tuyero, Salsa, Merengue, Venezuelan Waltz. Recently there's a great movement of Venezuelan artists making fusion music jazz with these genres and everything of them sounds wonderful to me.

I also like to listen to blues, rock'n'roll, Progressive Rock, Symphonic Rock, Jazz, Latin-jazz and so on.

About Movies, I like to watch movies for 2 kinds of mind-states. When I don't want to spent time thinking and I just want to distract myself I like to watch blockbuster action movies. Nevertheless, I really enjoy discovering Latin American, Spanish, Italian, French, German and hollywood classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like to think there are lots of opportunities to make things right. Recently I had the chance to see people doing amazing things. Poor women building their own houses (under my guidance). Poor children walking exhausting distances every day to go to elementary school. And many other things I always keep in mind whenever I feel lazy, THINGS that reminds me that the distance between me and things I want to achieve is based on self-effort.
