Overview
About Me
My name is Lourdes and I teach at a local media university (particularly in the Music Production Department) in Orlando, Florida. People that know me would say I am very artistic and creative. I am quite open-minded to other people's backgrounds and belief systems. I am initially introverted until you get to know me. I am very much involved in the arts and entertainment industries.
I am a *non-smoker but a social drinker.
[*The photo of me w/ a cigarette is not a real cigarette, lol.]
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been a member of Coachsurfing for about a year, but have not engaged in it because of safety concerns. But I'm giving it a 'go' this time.
I do enjoy traveling and am currently going back and forth between England and the United States because of university residentials and research. I am very interested in how people interact w/ the arts (particularly music) due to their cultural background. I am also very open to making friends around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the opportunity to teach creative writing, basic piano, graphics, and beading jewelry at an arts drop in a center for mental health consumers. I didn't think I could handle being involved with such a demographic, but it turned out to be one of the most satisfying experiences I have had, and I got to see how arts and music aided people from all walks of life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I currently teach the history of popular music, music theory, music composition programming, overview of the audio arts.
I have taught in the past music business, music arranging & production, creative writing, graphics, basic design, basic piano, basic violin, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, audio & video techniques.
I am attempting to learn guitar because of compositional endeavours (I'm quite laughable at it, ha ha).
So if it has to do w/ the integrated arts and technology worlds, I can teach, but most importantly I am open to learning from others.
