About Me

ABOUT ME
My name is Niza, I’m a professional procrastinator, permanent daydreamer and college student (Hispanic philology major aka literature and linguistics).
I love traveling, meeting people and learning about cultures and languages!
But I also love being a tourist in my own city. I take long walks and look out for new places to eat, drink coffee, hang out and of course take lots of pictures! (:

The few people I've met in this site have been incredible and it's been great to show them a piece of my city and become a part of their travels as well as being able to learn about them and their cultures, so I'd love to meet as many couchsurfers as I can!

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet travellers that come to Mexico city and want to have the "local experience", I can show you around, we can go out for a drink or a meal, take a walk, go partying, visit museums and stuff like that (:

Interests

Random things I like: strawberries, airplanes, plants, submarines, sharks, candy, pop art (specially Andy Warhol), foreign films, football (Barça and Liverpool), postcards, museums, greek mythology, vanilla, beer, instagram, ampersands, coffee, rain, floral patterns, the smell of ink and the way feathers feel against your skin...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Spent a week with a poor community in the mountains of the state of Hidalgo (here in Mexico) without electricity, running water and wifi and had an amazing time organising stuff with the children and learning from the people there.

-Helped baby turtles go into the ocean for the first time once in the Pacific and once in the Gulf of Mexico.

- Published an article in a newspaper (I know it's not a superb thing like some of the things people in this site have done but I'm pretty proud of that)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, United States
