About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have just graduated the Faculty of Philology last year and I have the B.A. diploma in my hands. Soon after my graduation, I have found a good job opportunity as a Process Associate in a multinational company. Of course I fully took advantage of this change, so I am currently working there. I always have to deal with people from all over the world and sometimes this can be an issue that brings nuisance because of the huge language and cultural gaps. Talking about my “current mission”, I believe mine is to bring those barriers between us down by trying to know different cultures better; in this way, I will not only be more experienced, but I could do my job at a much higher level as well.

Sometimes (and even now as I am writing these lines) I feel the urge to set free, to leave the place I am to an unknown location. I just want to pack up, put my backpack on my back and just leave like a bird leave its cage once the door is open. I want as much interaction with the locals as possible: taste their food, drink their wine, feel their music in my soul, be temporarily part of their community. All these things keep me alive. When I first got the balls to travel alone, I met some awesome people with whom I still keep in contact (well some of them) and then I started to think differently about other people and cultures, since then, my motto is: “FUCK POLITICS AND LET US BE FRIENDS”. I saw Russians being good friends with Latvians, Hungarians with Romanians, Swedes with Finns and Danes. We all know that from a geo-political point of view these countries do not really like each other and I was surprised to find out that people actually have a warm heart.

One of the reasons I have signed up for CouchSurfing is to travel cheap and a lot and for the unique experience you get with the locals. If you travel and decide to stay in a five star fancy hotel, that is ok, but it cannot be the same. I want to experience as much as possible because only with experience you get the chance to see the world from a 360 degree perspective. I cannot believe that there is a more pleasant feeling than this.

And I want to finish here as I can write even more. I hope that these lines gave you an image on who I am and what I want from this life.

ABOUT ME

I am 22 years old and a very open minded dude. Usually people enjoy my presence, but I have haters as well. Haters gonna hate and the only thing I can do is to ignore them. Remember that I was writing about multiculturalism in the “CURRENT MISSION” field? Well, my ducation and childhood was influenced by two major cultures: Romanian & Hungarian. And the only thing I can say that it is an awesome feeling to identify yourself with two different cultural heritages. I can still remember that my mom was reading me bed time stories in Hungarian from the Hungarian folklore and my father stories in Romanian from the Romanian folklore. Huuh good old times.

As I grew older, I felt the necessity for something new, thus I came across with the Scandinavian culture and the story behind it is long and interesting, a huge chapter of my life I could write a novel about. Many friends of mine told me that I am a good story teller, but I never believed them and never tried to write my experiences down. I honestly prefer to tell them because some parts of it really fit with sitting around a bonfire while burning marshmallows

PHILOSOPHY

I do not consider myself a philosopher, there are wiser people than me such as: Kant, Socrates, Plato etc. I can only say that I function according to some of the oldest and most important philosophical virtues such as: truth, loyalty, friendship, respect and of course, love. I believe that the world would have a different shape if the humankind was not sunk in hatred, greediness and power hunger. What do you think about this?

My friends I met in Vaasa, Finland in the summer of 2014 know better my life philosophy (inside joke, again long story)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been a while since I have signed up on this website, but unfortunately I had no chance to host/being hosted so far. I am still looking forward to traveling via CouchSurfing. This will offer both host and traveler a unique experience and maybe will give the chance of building lifetime friendships. Who knows?

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical preferences could change according to my inner state. Sometimes I do prefer Jazz, pop or Swing, but there are moments when I fell like listen some metal or heavy rock only to release all the negative energy sucked inside me.

I prefer books from which I could learn essential lessons for my life, but also fiction, fantasy. Poetry is also accepted

Movies ..... I do not really have preferences. If I like it, I'll watch it, if don't, I'll change it.
