"EL CHANTE" is a Costarrican slang that means "THE HOUSE", and "LA SKINA" means "THE CORNER".
It's normal in Costa Rica, that friends spend the time together, to talk and make jokes in neighborhood's corners. So, this is your HOME at Playa Hermosa TO GET TOGETHER, dudes!

HOW TO GET HERE??

From the capital you should take a bus to Liberia (5h travel, buses that goes to the Nicargua border also work, BUT GET OF IN LIBERIA!) and from Liberia get a bus to Playa Panama (40min travel, they are white buses, the compani name is "Transportes La Pampa") you have to get off in the 2nd Playa Hermosa's entry, TELL THE DRIVER TO HELP YOU :)

PHILOSOPHY

All travelers are welcome if like the beach as us. You'll be in the best Beach-Province of Costa Rica, that's why I came also to live here haha. If you need any further info, let us know. Pura vida!

¿Cuándo ir a Costa Rica?

Es un factor clave ¿Cuándo ir? Todas las guías y agencias de viaje te dirán de Diciembre a Abril en época seca, ... Yo te digo que según y cómo, me voy a explicar:

• Es verdad que la lluvia es torrencial en época de lluvias y que cuando cae y no te deja hacer ciertas cosas, lo bueno es que tienes todo el pais pintado de verde.

• Pero también es verdad que Costa Rica tiene una época alta, con mucha afluencia de turismo local/extranjero:

o Los hospedajes están llenos y son más caros.
o Los parques están atestados y no se ven los animalitos, ya que hay mas ruido.
o Hay ciertos tours que tardan mas

Creo que la mejor época es final de octubre a 10/Diciembre y rezar:
• La temperatura es fantástica.
• Es el final de la época de lluvias, te puede caer alguna, pero no pasa nada.
• Puedes elegir hospedaje sin problemas.
• Los parques están todavía vacíos, la sensación de recorrer el bosque tu sólo es algo especial que vale la pena.
• Los tours (canopy, raftin', boat, etc)casi privados, para ti sólo.

Si vas en abril ó mayo, también está bien, pero al ser final de época seca todo está menos verde, pero también lo aconsejaría, de hecho tiene menos riesgo.

Huye de la temporada alta o no verás Costa Rica en estado puro.

Luego cada parque, cada animalito, cada zona tiene sus propias épocas, p.ej.:
• Las tortugas Baulas de Playa Grande en Tamarindo empiezan a llegar a principios de Noviembre.
• Las tortugas verde del P. Nacional de Tortuguero finalizan la temporada en Octubre y si vas en Noviembre puedes no ver.
• Las Ballenas del P. Marino Ballena empiezan a llegar en Octubre / Noviembre, pero la mejor época es la seca.
• Para bucear, lo mejor es la época seca, ya que los ríos en Octubre/Noviembre van muy crecidos y dejan muchos sedimentos que dificultan la visibilidad.

En fin, además de esto esta la suerte y la actitud de cada dia.
