About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a Literature major, though I haven't got my degree yet. I teach highschoolers English as a second language and Literature on occasions. I'm very serious about what I do, I take my students very seriously and I deeply enjoy teaching, it's my true calling and I've been doing it almost ever since I got out of highschool myself.
As you can imaging, I loooove reading. My bookcases are filled with books I've read and some that I have not; I like recommending books, bookstores and libraries A LOT. Books are my thing. That being said, I also have a pretty interesting collection of books on Astrology, Witchcraft, Tarot and whatnot. I'm a believer but I won't EVER nag anyone with my beliefs (I hate it when people do that!)
I live with my boyfriend part of the week, and with my parents and brother (cats and dog, the works!) the other part.
Being a teacher you gotta love talking to people, but you gotta also stand your ground. I'm working on that last part, trying not to be judgemental or authoritative . I have no problem staying up late if the conversation's interesting or deep.
I'm more of a morning person, because of my job, I guess, so if anyone's up for an early coffee, I'm game :)
I'm a smoker, but I absolutely can refrain from smoking if you're allergic or just don't like it (I do admit it's kind of a nasty habit...)
I'm more of a stay-in kind of person, though I enjoy sightseeing and going out (no large parties or too crowded places, please. Nevertheless, I can be persuaded on special ocassions, I'm not a total buzzkill!)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we're always learning. And teaching, too. Every itty bitty piece of experience, every person you meet or say farewell to, has something to teach you, you just have to keep your eyes and your mind open to take it all in and not miss out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to meet new people. I admit I'm sometimes a tourist in my own city, but 'curiosity is strong in this one' so I can go to new places along with new people, Buenos Aires is such a great, exciting place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no experience at all. I only have heard of this once or twice in my life, until my boyfriend told me all about it. It sounds thrilling :)

Interests

I spend a lot of time on Tumblr and that gave me ridiculous expectations about life and myself (my eyebrows, specially).
I'm just kidding.
Anything to do with the following interests me:

Literature
The occult (dum dum duuum!)
Classical music
Swing, jazz and everything that makes my feet move on their own
Role playing games (with the character sheets, dice and everything)
Breakfast (I really love having breakfast, I'm like a hobbit)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching a huuuge pice of glacier crumble down like it was made of soft sand was unbelievable! The sound it made almost hurt my ears.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a not-so-practicing pagan, due to my crazy schedule, so I have a deep interest in the matter and some esoteric knowledge.
In 2013/2014 I gathered some friends on a weekly basis and taught them how to read Tarot cards (which I've been doing since I was 16 y/o). I welcome all teachers in this area and also all curious, potential students or partners :)
Ps: I enjoy my fair share of incense burning and stuff, but let's not over do it. Let's NOT.
