Over the course of my travels, I realized that as much as I love visiting temples, cathedrals & museums, travelling is not about ticking things of a 'must-see&do'-list. My best adventures were with locals who showed me around, told me about the hidden treasures of their city/country, placed everything I saw and experienced in a cultural context, etc.

My ultimate guilty pleasure is 90's music - and I was lucky enough to grow into adulthood with 7 other students in my dorm who enjoyed it as much as I do. I also very, very much less tacky music (think Cat Stevens and Fleetwood Mac), as well as contemporary dance music.

Love to read, don't do it nearly enough unfortunately. All time favourite is One Hundred Years of Solitude (although it took me 4 attempts to make it past the first 100 pages).
