One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled on a solo trip from the south of Taiwan (KaoHsiung), and round the country in 10 days! I lived with local Taiwanese throughout the whole trip - in Taitung (east), Taipei (north), Taichung (central), and Tainan (south), and this made me fall in love with the idea of couchsurfing. Did you know that even though it's the same country, each city has their own unique culture? By living with the locals, I got to see a foreign country through their eyes, an experience that I would never get if I stayed in hostels and did touristy stuff.

I loved the east side of Taiwan especially, as there is an abundance of clear seas and untouched nature - perfect getaway for a city girl who doesn't get to see clear blue waters other that those from Singapore's swimming pools. Through this experience, I have learnt to be so much more independent, and never to bring my giant luggage along on a solo trip...haha.

My next solo trip will be in Europe this coming April - May 2016 - in Switzerland, Italy, London, Prague, and Austria. So if we get to hang out during this period, I hope to bring back an equally unique ride like the one I had above :)
