About Me

Hi everybody,
as you already know, my name is Mohamed. I'm a 21 years old guy. I live in a small town in the mountains between Bologna and Florence. I love it because it is so close to some of the biggest cities in Italy, but it still mantains its richness in nature, fresh air, and a huge history back to the roman empire. Anyway, I'm a Pharmacy student in the University of Bologna. I love to travel, no matter where. I just like to go and discover new places and meet new people. As a guy who left his hometown to live in a foreign country (I'm Moroccan, I was born in a small city called Settat, but I grew up in Italy), I've been educated to respect other cultures and to learn from every shade of them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because it is the biggest community for travel addicts, like me. I hope to use this powerful instrument to meet people of all over the world (possibly) and to enpower my speaking skills in other languages in order to reach my biggest dream, to learn to speack fluently 10 languages.

Interests

I don't have precise interests. My motto is try it, then judge it.

  • technology
  • anime
  • movies
  • traveling
  • science
  • sightseeing
  • historic sites
  • tv series
  • learning languages
  • local food
  • have fun

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to a lot of musical genres, my playlist includes Jimi Hendrix, Micheal Jackson, Queen, David Bowie, but I love other bands like Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Alessia Cara, Awolnation and lots of Italian and Moroccan singers and bands. The point is that I don't discriminate any song. :)
My favourite movies are Inception, Predestination, Tarantino's movies, japanese Anime, and other thousands (I LOVE movies).
I don't read much books, but the best I read are 1984 by Orwell, Cemento Armato by Sandrone Dazieri and Marco Martani.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't been an exciting person like other people I read their bio here on couchsurfing.
The most amazing thing I've done (I think) is that I travelled on a two day car trip from northern Italy to the centre of Morocco.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I told before, I'm Moroccan, but I'm Italian, too. So I can teach both languages, that I usually speak everyday. I'm not a michelin star chef, but I can prepare some homemade dishes of both the countries, like Moroccan Tajine, Batbot, Msemmen, ecc... and Italian pizza, pasta, lasagne, ecc... that I think you won't be able to find in many ethnical restaurants.
I'd like to learn how to speak local languages, how to play an instrument (from a drum to a piano) or how to prepare exotic dishes (I love to try new tastes), even a new cards game. I just love to learn new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to have chats with people I meet, better if in front of a hot cup of tea (in winter), or a cool dink in summer. I like to talk about personal trips, TV series (that I love) as much as japanese Anime. I like sports too (I support Juventus FC).
