Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It started 5 years ago when a French guy arrived in my small hometown in Malaysia, to be hosted by my friend. I volunteered to host him although not knowing what couchsurfing was. It was the conversation with him that inspired me to be involved in couchsurfing because I believe this is the way to get closer to people from every corners of the world, to invite them to my culture and to be invited into their culture. The world is a massive place and offers unlimited culture and experience everyday. Instead of reading from books or from TV, why not try it myself to have the first-hand experience?
