About Me

Hiiiii, I'm Marta! I was born in a northwestern Spanish city named Vigo, where I have lived until the age of 17. Nowadays I live on my own in Seville, in the south of Spain, where I study a double degree of Social Work and Social Education. In summer, I return to my home town, so I won't be in Seville.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I think it is a different and rewarding way of travelling. As it is more personal and closer, we can immerse ourselves in other cultures, teaching and learning from each other. It is also a great way to meet new people and make friends from all over the world. I love knowing different ways of life and different perspectives.

Interests

My principal interest is learning. I love learning idioms, because it approaches me to new people. I love my career, because it opens my mind. I love to socialize and surround myself with people, because it makes me happy and loved. I love dancing every style: jazz, hip hop, contemporary, ballet.., because it's a different way of self expression. I love reading, because it helps me to relax and let my imagination run...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music, it only depends on the moment if I'm in the mood for listening to one style or other. The styles that nowadays I listen more are ska music, jazz, flamenco...
I don't have a favorite movie since I don't watch too much movies, but I would like to change that!
A book that really impacted and changed me was "Veronika decides to die" by Paulo Coelho. Highly recommendable!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've won a first prize in a dance world cup! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the idioms I know (Spanish, Galician and English... and well French I can try haha).
