About Me

((Please note that the CS app is terribly slow and very often we get messages and notifications, about hangouts and requests too late.))
Living in Andalusia, Málaga-Granada now

When I offer you to stay at my place I expect from you a minimum of respect for house rules. You are welcome to come, but you have NOT the right to impose me your rules, specially when it comes to hygiene.

Important rules in my home are:

1- When we come in, we take our shoes off and use slippers or clean socks to walk around the flat
2- When we use the toailet we ALWAYS flush and ALWAYS close the lid, both lids, not just the seat of the toilet.
3- Please wash your hands first thing when you come in, specially before touching clean stuff and going to the kitchen.
4- Please take a shower unless you are absolutely sure that u are clean, not sweaty. This is even more important in summer.
5- Please DO NOT PUT USED bedclothes back in the closet DON´T MIX it with clean bedclothes.
6- Please when you use the toilet make sure you leave it clean. And close both lids and flush it, please.
7- Please wash your hands before entering the kitchen.
8- Please don´t eat at your room, specialy if you are going to leave crumbs and other traces there.
9- You are welcome to come with your backpack and to use your sleeping bag if it is clean and not smelly. Otherwise, I have clean bedclothes and a bed ready for you.

You know, in Spain we say "mi casa es su casa" but we don´t mean you to impose your rules or your ways at our place. Specially when it comes to hygiene, we expect a minimum respect there from our guests.

This is not AirBNB, we may not have time to spend much time together, depending on our schedules and plans, but I would like to get to know at least a little the people I host. And I am not your personal cleaner-after you leave service, either.

This is not a dating app, nor do I use to take advantage of guests, so please, don´t play the teasing- flirting game with me. If you are interested in that you should to use other platforms like dating apps or IG, Fb, twitter, tiktok...And in any case, I have absolutely nothing against LGBTQ people, but I am not interested in other men, so please don´t try to change me there.

This is not just about books, cinema, music, art in general, but about every human being and everything in life. Think twice and listen- read/consider before you judge-define anybody- any country, anything.. Using your brains is for free and can help not to make many terrible mistakes and to fall in stupid prejudices/stereotypes. And it can be applied in all directions, nations, countries:

About veganism and bigger, more serious issues than veganism, regarding food production transport, energy, urban speculation,.. we really need to start doing something, eating less meat, or no meat at all is good, but it is USELESS and will change nothing if we don´t act fast and hard on the side of urbanization, transport, consummerism, weapons production... especially elite urbanization destroys our planet (and lives of people too much, we do have to act on that)

Me in other media¨:

Enjoy life back in Spain and travelling as much as possible after covid lockdowns, unnecessary wars- crisis...

(((Teacher of Spanish and English. Teacher of literature and language. Translator. Proofreader. Ghostwriter, etc...)))

Just like everybody else: impossible to say in a few words, better try to get to know anybody in person, talking to the person, not looking at a webpage. And do not judge the book because of its cover or just after reading a few pages.
I love keeping fit reading, traveling, cinema, many kinds of music, doing some gymnastics, a bit of calisthenics, hiking, running, biking... Learning new things, learning in general, making new friends and acquaintances, going out, parks, nature, walks, travelling, art, architecture, photography, exhibitions... I am also very interested in History, Sociology, Anthropology, Ecology... And so many other things we can do. Life is too short, so much to learn and enjoy...

I usually don´t eat much meat, do love fish as an Andalusian. I admire some vegans, specially those who are not preachers nor suffer from some superiority complex.

Live and let live.
Learn as much as life lets you. Fight your own ignorance does not mean just being bookish, even if in books there is always so much knowledge... and in life. Enjoy the pleasure of learning and giving and helping as much as receiving help not tainted as charity, but based upon solidarity or just pure good will.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet up, to meet international people, make new friends, to share and learn. Hopefully to travel. I host again, occasionally

Meeting, occasionally hosting, being a guest sometimes...

I met very interesting people, from many different places and ways of living. Mostly as a host, sometimes a guest too. I love both.
Mostly a very positive experience. Only once did I met some kind of taliban-vegan extremist who accused me of being a killer because of eating fish and who had some kind of superiority complex because of being vegan.
But most vegetarians and vegans I met were very nice people, great people. And in any case, we have to reduce the amount of animal proteins we eat, specially industrial, low quality, based upon suffering processed meat and the like. We are destroying our planet too fast and we cannot waste our water.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was about to die once while working to pay for my studies in a dangerous accident.
Travel around. "Many" times and places and still always too few.
Learning, discovering, sharing... too many and too few times at the same time, life is too, too short and still u have to work and earn your living... Try to make the most of it :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Tolerant, open minded who try to enjoy life, to live and let live, to respect and be respected.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My conversation, company and the very modest place where I might be living in every moment, depending on where I am living and working. I can show you around and maybe help you with Spanish and/ or English.

Countries I’ve Visited
