I’m a 23 year old half Danish half Russian guy that grew up in Denmark. Having been a Scout since the age of 8, and a Scouts Master since the age of 17, has given me a strong adventures side, and a thirst to go out and explore the world. I have travelled most of Europe and Russia, but never for more than at most a few months at a time. Now however I have ventured onto a 2 year trip around Australia, and perhaps further when I’m done here. I enjoy camping and sleeping in the wild just as much as I enjoy exploring big cities and the culture they have to offer. I’m hoping to get to do both on my travels, hopefully with some help from you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my travels through Australia I would not only like to save a bit of money, but I would also love to see the world around me through the eyes of the locals. In general I’m a very extroverted and social person, and big parts of my journey will likely be on my own. So to offset this I would love to meet and live with interesting people, letting them share their story’s with me, and sharing mine with them.

Interests

Having been a Scout most of my life, has given me a great interest in the outdoors and traveling. But I have also traveled a lot with my friends and father who used to backpack for a big portion of his life. This has shown me that not only nature has something amazing to offer, but the people and culture around you as well. Otherwise my interest are just the normal boring ones, I like cooking, getting a beer at some nice bar, relaxing on the beach, and when I have the time follow along in what’s happening in the Esports world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music wise there are very few genres where I can’t find some niche or sub-genre that don’t I enjoy; my favourites would probably be rock and classical though. Movie wise, having grown up in Denmark, which I will boldly proclaim as the masters of dark social realism, that is one of the genres I love the most. Lord of the Rings is probably my all-time favourite book series, and while the movies lack a bit of the depth of the books, they are still pretty damn good.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It’s kind of hard being put on the spot about one or a couple things I would be able to share. But I guess a good starting point would simply be introducing oneself with an open mind, telling your life story, listing in to that of another person, and seeing if there is something to learn something.
