ABOUT ME

Open, friendly and laidback couple who love to get out their "comfort zone" and see as much of this beautifull world as possible. Love to meet new people, live the local life and get to know the local culture.
We are foodies!! Sooo, please introduce us to your (local) food and favorite meals. Currently travelling on a one year worldtrip and loving every minute of it!

Our homebase is Amsterdam, The Netherlands where we would like start hosting couchsurfing when we come back from our trip.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying to give without expecting something in return, don't worry about things you can't change, trying to build good karma, being a good human being in general.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As we are currently on a round the world trip we will be looking for hosts where we can stay and who (if there is time) can show us their local cool spots.

What we can give in return is a lot of energy, cool travel stories and video's (remco is a "gopro" fanatic). We are not shy to help around in your household or assist you with some day to day activities.

When we get back home to Amsterdam we want to start hosting as well, so maybe we can show you around our place?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have many international friends who we met during previous travels and who became good friends and came to visit us in Amsterdam. Allready through this current world trip we met so many nice people who we would like to see again someday. Our door is always open for them and hopefully through couchsurfing we can meet many more great people!

Interests

Animals, anything from your pet to large(r) wildlife in your area. Diving is something we love! Remco likes surfing although he's still a beginner. Hiking the local surroundings, exploring city's. Sports in general, all sorts and sizes. FOOD! good coffee, the beach, sunrises, sunsets, stars, good conversations, (light) philosofy preferably over a drink (or two).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

recently climbed the most active volcano of south east Asia, Mount Merapi, on a whole night hike to see the sunrise, AMAZING!
