We are a mix of couchsurfing (we like to spend time with our guests) and a very affordable hostel. You can contact us at speakeasyeslcafe@gmail.com

We would like to mention that our request from couchsurfers, is that if our nightly fee of 250 THB (about $7.66 USD or 6.10 Euro) is not affordable to you, then we ask of you to help out around our home/business, with daily house cleaning, cafe Barista drink making, and possibly other administrative duties.

Our neighborhood is away from the crazy and busy (and sometimes noisy) touristic area but still in Central Bangkok. So it's a great place to discover the local culture and especially the most delicious street food known to many thai locals (with a non-touristic cheap local price to go with it), Plus, welcoming and genuinely friendly people. Our place is 150 meters walking distance from the Chaophraya River and river taxi, so we are really close to Chinatown, common areas, museums and temples such as the beautiful Grand Palace or even crazy Khao San Road if you want to go there. And taxis are really (really) cheap here depending on where you go and specifically ask the driver to use the meter.

Play with the cats and try our delicious coffee or fruit smoothies. Plus relax with some great music and free/unlimited WiFi access. A great place to come with friends or meet new ones.

Our Home Away From Home offers an open space to exercise, read (or trade) a book, meditate..., as well as a theater room for movies, meetings or classroom teaching. We also have a community kitchen where you make coffee and coco for free, a washing machine and a dryer. We keep our home very clean and will gladly help if you need any travel instruction or other information. Feel free to contact us for any further questions, and/or bookings!

The most amazing thing that we can all do, is open our minds, and free ourselves from mundane conformity. Many people from all over the world may live their entire lives until death, never leaving their hometown or home country. The world is so vast and full of wonders that no magazine or TV and movie program can ever feed our minds. Go out and see the world with its many different cultures, languages, people, and foods.

Our language tutoring center is a place where people can come to improve their communication skills and practice making English part of their daily lives. However, we are not a school!

Our services are for people who already have a basic understanding of the English Language. Although we will have some available if needed, we do not use books: we think the best way to help people learn is with our minds and our mouths.

Are you a teacher with your own group of students?

During some hours, we do do not use the tutoring centre. Therefore, the space is available for rent to anybody wishing to host their own classes. It is fully equipped with lecture chairs, a whiteboard, and projector with computer/video connections.

And if you teach Dance, Yoga, Tai-chi, Meditation or any class that needs an open floor space, the lecture chairs can easily be folded and stored away.

South East Asia’s most popular 10 countries will be having a unified treaty called ASEAN, in which the English Language will be in a much higher need. Our services are here to provide better common communication through conversation. We believe this will be very helpful for the whole of business, commerce and tourism.
