My name is Héctor. I'm currently living in Madrid, but I have a house in a little town, at west of Madrid City, called Alcalá de Henares (born place of Miguel de Cervantes).

I'm an open minded person, of course. Always try to learn something about every single person I meet.

I must admit that I'm not the most talkative person when I'm with my friends (they usually tell me), but that changes completely when I speak English or I talk to strangers. I don't know why, but I'm a better conversator in English than in my mother tongue. And I love meet new people. So don't worry, I'll offer a good conversation.

I'm not that kind of stereotype spanish guy in many ways (at least in the bad ways). But in the good way it's true that I am, it's impossible not act as a spanish if you grow up in Spain. Anyway... I'm not always partying (just in the weekends) or having a 'siesta'. And of course I'm not noisy and I hate bullfighting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel on my own sometimes and I think this is a wonderful project in the society in these days. You can travel alone but never feel lonely.

I want to travel alone around Europe with an Eurail pass and visit some places that I've never been before where I have some friends (like friends made during my Erasmus period). But I don't have a friend in every city of Europe so I think it's the moment for start my experience in couchsurfing.

Of course, whenever I have a flat and a couch available, it will be available for every traveler in the world.

Interests

My hobbies are music and movies. I love going concerts and music festivals. And travelling, how I couldn't?

I can teach... well not teach actually, but you can practise with me spanish with a nice conversation about the world we are living or deep stuff.

I also play the guitar.
Or at least I try.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I appreciate the generosity of a host, so my generosity will be double.

I'm not bad at cooking at all, so that's one of the things I could offer. But don't judge me if the result is awful.

And I can talk about all the stuff of living in Spain and recommend the most wonderful places in the country.
