About Me

"If we wait until we're ready we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives. Let's go."

I'm a 21 yo law student from Recife, Brazil, currently studying to join the brazilian diplomatic corps. I love travelling and I believe you only really get to know a new and foreign place when you live as a native citizen of that country.

I'm looking forward to making the most out of the great experiences that I'll get to live in every new place I go to and, of course, I can't wait to meet new and incredible people to share amazing memories with.

To put it simply, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In every trip I've ever made I've always been more interested in the local history and in meeting the people who actually live and are a part of that community than anything else.

So I guess that the main reason I'm here is to actually get to see the world in the eyes of those who live in different parts of it - and I bet those points of view are amazing and can teach me a lot. Exchanging experiences, meeting new people and getting to know the world are my main goals.

Interests

I love reading greatly, and I also enjoy movies, TV shows, art and world history, music... I could say sports activities but, to be honest, I could probably live without them - which doesn't mean that I do, as I've been swimming my whole life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since this is really hard, I'm doing only books - and even so, partially.

We can start with Harry Potter because I mean, as cliché as it sounds, it's the first real book I've read. Then we have To Kill a Mockingbird, The Secret History, The Basic Eight, Much Ado About Nothing, Crime and Punishment and so many more I can't go on.

“When trouble strikes, head to the library. You will either be able to solve the problem, or simply have something to read as the world crashes down around you.” - Lemony Snicket

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

You can ask that one me when we meet, haha. But for one thing, travelling, leaving a place behind and living somewhere else, getting to know the world, different cultures and different life stories, those are the truly amazing things one can hope to do - and I like to believe I'm succeeding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since I believe the only thing that's actually yours, the one thing you really carry with you through life, are your life experiences and knowledge, that's the only thing I can hope to offer. A different view of the world, maybe a few anecdotes, definitely quite a few (so-called) "fun" facts - because my mind is a stronghold and a magnet for that kind of thing...
