Ho studiato Legge e Criminologia in Inghilterra e poi un master in Diritti Umani in Svezia, dopo il quale ho viaggiato 15 mesi zaino in spalle all’avventura dal Messico al Perù, all’insegna di autostop, volontariato e CouchSurfing e -per quest’anno - vivo e lavoro a Torino come Maestra all’Asilo nel Bosco, con un mare di progetti di viaggio sempre in pentola (;

Hey there! I'm Ally and I've been back living in Turin for a year, after 7 years away. I was born and grew up in Italy from a British mum and an Italian dad then at the age of 19 I moved to the UK and did my Bachelor of law at Lancaster University. Two years masters in Sweden after that, to study International Human Rights Law, after which I went roadtripping through Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru for 15 months, hitchhiking, couchsurfing and workawaying. In Turin I now work as nursery school teacher in the woods. All year round we stay outdoors, light up fires, use ropes, go on hikes, climb on trees and generally get silly, messy and muddy (;

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I believe Couchsurfing to be an excellent mean to afford traveling whilst meeting local people and possible future friends. By being hosted I hope to set aside the "touristy" aspect of travelling, aiming at a full taste of the place I visit, socializing and having helpful tips. By hosting.. well, it's almost like traveling.. but from home :)

Interessen

Wandering is one of my greatest passions in life: a mean of travel and education; as a result I love expressing my own views and face challenging and constructive conversations.

I am also a music and food addict who thinks there aren’t enough hours in a day, as they’re always there for us to discover.
I climb, love hiking and trekking and on the road I've discovered a new passion for aerial silks, acroyoga and macramé! Oh and - I could spend hours staring at the sea without getting bored.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

"Pursuit of happiness" is one of my favourite movies along with the French movie "Les Untouchables/The Intouchables" I love most genres of music. I listen to anything from Jazz, Blues, Lindy Hop to DnB, Techno, Ragge, Funk n Soul and Hiphop. And now... raggaeton too I guess ;)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I'd say there's quite a few, from my month traveling through Lebanon and Jordan, skydiving in Croatia, hitchhiking in Albania, a year and a half on the road in South America, sleeping on a bench outside the cathedral in Salamanca in Spain and many more, but I'll leave those to a face to face conversation!
