ABOUT ME

For the last 5 years I have been living in the main city of Lithuania - Vilnius, in the tiny and artistic republic of Užupis. I am always surrounded by historical architecture and the sounds of multicultural visitors. Getting know the people from all around the world is what I do and enjoy everyday, since I work in hospitality industry and my main goal is to make every guest of Lithuania to feel like at home, but for me traveling is never about a comfort and perfect planing, it is all about freedom, adventure and surprises.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing opens the door to the life of real people, it gives an amazing perspective of the country through the eyes of a local. It offers much more than you can expect and new connections can adjust your traveling plans the way you never imagined. It is the best spice for your journey.

Couchsurfing has a close connection with my favorite way of traveling - backpacking and hitchhiking that I usually choose to do with my partner Justinas, who you can find in my profile photos and references from our previous trips together.

Interests

Most of my activities depends on time of the week and personal mood. I try to find a balance between work and personal interests, but most of them are closely related, because I believe that work should be one of your hobbies as well. Also, I am a big fan of long trips, because it shows my everyday life from a different perspective and helps me to set new goals and rethink my values.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music I am open for any kind of sounds and different rhythms. Mostly i prefer natural sounds: drums, acoustic, instrumental music. I am more in to new things and live concerts. Movies and books come naturally to my life and depends on the topic that I am interested at the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For some people your amazing thing could look like their casual day, so it is hard to tell what is really amazing, but If I would have to choose, these would be the experiences:

Hitchhiking around Mexico in almost two months with a backpack
Boat trip through Amazon river for almost a week with a hammock
Ride trough the Iceland with a borrowed friend car
One amazing thing that I am still planing with Justinas : Backpacking from Argentina to Colombia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching, learning and sharing depends on a connection between surfer and a host, most of the time it is unpredictable, the most important thing is to be open.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can always share with you my positiveness, because it is pretty light, does not take many space in my backpack and it is easy to enjoy.
