ABOUT ME

I was born in Wroclaw, Poland where I grew up and spent most of my life. I live in the United States for about eight years now. I work at Duke University as an Assistant Professor (I do research in artificial intelligence for medical image analysis). In the last several years I got to travel quite a bit around the United States but also a lot in Europe, some in Middle East and a little bit in southeastern Asia and Africa. I loved it and I want more!

PHILOSOPHY

I really like meeting new interesting people. I also think that everybody is in their own way interesting which makes it quite easy :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed in Istanbul and shortly in San Francisco as well as hosted here, in Durham, NC. I also try to actively I participate in local CS gatherings (there is a CS potluck every week in the area! I hosted a couple of them).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few memorable experiences (not sure how amazing they are): skiing in Dubai (in a giant freezer), hiking the 14ers in Colorado, delicious kuskus in Medina in Marrakesh and partying in Istanbul with the local CSers.
