ABOUT ME

Hy there couchers, my name is Ricardo Costa and I´m 33 years old. I live in Aveiro, the Veneze of Portugal, but I grew up in Lisbon. I´m passionated about sealife that is why I took my degree in Marine Biology. I´m an easy going person, funny, with good mood, however respectful, honest, sincere and friendly.
I like pretty much to meet new people, with other cultures and ways of thinking. I´m always open to learn new things and try new adventures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to be an active participant of this wonderful community, make new friends, learn new things, creating a better connection between diferent cultures and try to make the world a better place to live where everyone may find the true happyness of living.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve already travelled through a few countries but my first couchsurfing experience was in Japan on December 2009. I had a wonderful holidays and met very nice and friendly people, it was magnificent experience. After that I´ve allready hosted people from all arround the world. I really enjoy sharing living experiences.

Interests

In my free time I love to go out with my friends, dancing, go to the movie, chill out, go to concerts, have a nice time travelling arround and metting new people.
The sport I like more to practise is extreme fitness workout, so when i go to bed I can easly fall asleep.
I´m always open to try new and different things, specially weird food. I like pretty much to travel, and my favourite culture is the Japanese, which gathers the traditional and the new high tech.
My favourite hobbies are sea fishing, from land, boat or kayak, I do not care, I just love to be in permanent contact with Nature, and of course, with fish, and playing and collecting Magic the Gathering cards.
I also like scubadiving and snorkling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Comedy and animation movies are my favourite, specialy if they have dumm characters. I also like fiction movies such as the Lord of the Rings. Simpsons is my favourite cartoon serie.
I like many types of music, but dance music is my favourite. When I´m sad I also like to listen calm music, or when I´m upset I listen punk-rock.

Visiting the Roman Coliseum in Rome, simply amazing
Fly in an helicopter above Rio de Janeiro
Winning a fishing contest with 230 participants
Seeing a dog inside a babycar in the subway of Osaka

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: sea fishing techniques, marine biology, Portuguese language and culture, grilling fish by the Portuguese way, destroyng a pack of M&Ms in just 3 minutes, play Magic the Gathering, and many many other things
Learn: new languages and cultures, different kinds of cooking, different ways of living
Share: all my knowledge and friendship
