About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering and exchanging everything that connect humans with Mother Nature.

ABOUT US

Please, note that if you are searching a couch you don't need to read fully our description, just the couch description as I give you basic important informations.

Francesco has been living in the countryside for almost all his life. working at home for his selfsufficiency. Angelica joined him about 13 years ago. Together we try to grow what we eat. We have lots of knowledge about edible wild plants. Francesco also likes to build with his own hands. We are currently renovating our old stone house basically with natural materials.

We like exchanging with other people from different countries, but also from Italy. We are crazy about travelling with an ecological consciuosness visiting rural area, moving by foot, by bike or hitchhiking. We've also a dream to do some sailing and tried to learn how to and would like to experience more this way of travelling.

We're interested in human nature, philosophising about social issues and how to progress in this chaotic historical period where consumerism and violence are so widespread and there's less care for the innate qualities of the human being.

We love good quality food and to share the Italian food traditions above all if we're at our place, because abroad it's always difficult to reproduce the original dishes. But we made Pizza even in Japan!!!

We've also 2 children (born 2015 and 2021). If you've children, don't hesitate to visit us with them!

PHILOSOPHY

Let's take care of our children, our trees and the place where we live, let's share it worthly with the other living beings and the world will get better and better!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's one of the most enthusiastic project we joined. We hosted few people that came for several days to help us in the cob building and other things.
We try to make every experience as host and as guest a very beautiful and unic experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In January 2010 Francesco has been in Switzerland and found very nice hosts.
In September 2009 he had a rescue hospitality in Aosta, Italy and it was just great.
In October 2010 wonderful people hosted him close to Forlì. We exchanged a lot and they taught him many things! We are still in contact!!!
In febrary 2011 he travelled through Rhodes (Greece) and western Turkey and met many interesting people and really enjoyed the cultural exchange.
In 2012 he has been hosted in Ancona and it was an emergency ospitality that he enjoyed a lot.
In June 2014 we together have been hosted in Valencia and had a really great time there with some local CS-ers.

Interests

Natural way of living without exausting what Mother Nature offers us. Selfsufficiency. Orgonomy (see Wilhelm Reich) and Gentle Baby Massage after his daughter and other natural terapies or life enhancing practices as well. I would like to use all the therapeutic knowledges I've acquainted within childbirth since the unassisted birth at home of my children.

Alternative energies and simple living in contact with the earth.
Travelling of course, especially by bike, by foot or sailing, earth construction (earth houses, stoves and ovens), woodwork, basketry, baking and cooking, photography, dancing folk music, singing, meteorology, languages, botanic and many others that honour life in her complexity...
