About Me
Read my home section before sending me a request!
MISSION: Slowing down and organising myself
PHILOSOPHY: I strive to see a positive side to every situation
ABOUT ME: Life is a wonderful and bumpy learning journey for me, and I try to stay curious, grateful, informed, respectful and kind - tho I sometimes fail. I am passionate about community development and socio-environmental justice, and it's been suggested I'm 51% extrovert. I love a bit of drama but can't go without comedy.
DISCLAIMER: As most long-term CSers, this community has added a lot of value to my life over time. However, like others, I can't be bothered with those who think this is a free hostel or a dating site. It may sound harsh but life is busy and one has to prioritise. C'est la vie.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING: Hosting, being hosted and hanging out. Sometimes, I create or attend events. Other times, I bring willing volunteers together for good causes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE: It started badly but it turns out that being part of the CS crowd has enriched my life beyond expectation. My two younger brothers are also on cs, I have couchsurfed with my mom, some of the best people I've met are couchsurfers and several of my closes friends I made through couchsurfing. So, I can say being part of this community makes my life a whole lot better, and I do what I can to keep it safe and open and as true to itself as it can be :)
Interests
Almost everything interests me.
I love people, and believe everyone can be somewhat interesting. But those with happy hearts and wide smiles are my most favourite. Rude and indifferent people make me sad, so I try to stay away.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't make enough time to read much, but when I read I mostly read non fiction books that teach and challenge me, and sometimes some which validate my views.
I like going to the cinema and I like documentaries, and I love popcorn.
I just love how music (and food!) transcends all the nonsensical barriers built by society.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Danced under the warm rain, drank from the snow in the hilltops, watched the magical effect sunshine has on all it touches, donated stem cells to a fellow human, lived in an 80-people village on top of a mountain in Italy, lived in culturally mixed houses and communities and in squats in London. I have shared eye contact with some pretty special creatures, worked in and about the Amazon rainforest, have met some amazing and inspiring people. Have felt deeply and freely. Discovered the god of the small things.
Teach, Learn, Share
May we cherish life!! Let's not take it for granted, let's take chances, let's not put things off, let's make life meaningful, be aware, raise awareness, love deeply and freely, be kind and step softly on this Earth.
I am a keen cook and baker, and patient when it comes to communicating in varied languages. Know a bit about community engagement and about climate change and other socio-environmental issues, and always keen to collaborate with others on these topics.
Moreover, I'm always up for learning anything new.
