Overview
About Me
ABOUT ME: Life is a wonderful and bumpy learning journey for me, and I try to stay curious, grateful, informed, respectful and kind - tho I sometimes fail. I am passionate about community development and socio-environmental justice, and have been involved in this sector for a long time. I have ADHD, and it's been suggested I'm 51% extrovert. I love a bit of drama, but can't go without comedy.
CURRENT MISSION: rebuild regular healthy habits and choices into my days ❤🩹🏊♂️🧘🏽♀️🥾📝🍲🛌🧠🚲
PHILOSOPHY: I strive to see a positive side to every situation 🥃💡
Points to note before you contact me:
🎯 If you read my profile and want to meet up or be hosted, I thank you for choosing to connect with me. I love meeting people, tho I am pretty busy and might not be free. Please note, I will not respond to random messages from guys saying 'hi' or 'how are you?' kinda thing.
🎯If you want to be hosted… I’ll have ‘maybe host’ when im available for short notice requests. Do not bother to send requests weeks in advance tho, and please make it personal if you message me. Cheers.
🎯 Like most long-term CSers, this community has added a lot of value to my life over time. However, I can't be bothered with those who think this is a free hostel or a dating site. It may sound harsh, but life is busy, and one has to prioritise. C'est la vie.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING: Hosting, being hosted and hanging out. Sometimes, I create or attend events. Other times, I bring willing volunteers together for good causes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE: It turns out that being part of the CS crowd has enriched my life beyond expectation. My two younger brothers are also on CS, I have couchsurfed with my mom and with my dog. Some of the favorite people I've ever met are couchsurfers, and several of my closest friends I met through CS. So, I can say being part of this community makes my life a whole lot better, and I do what I can to keep it safe and open :)
Interests
Almost everything interests me.
I love people, and believe everyone can be interesting. But those with happy hearts, wide smiles and trying to have a positive impact on society are my most favourite. Rude and indifferent people make me sad, so I try to stay away.

Music, Movies, and Books
I start lots of books, and am reading several at the same time, but I hardly ever finish a book. When I read, I mostly read non-fiction books that teach and challenge me, and sometimes some which validate my views.
I like going to the cinema and I love popcorn. I like documentaries and non-English speaking films. I watch commercial films too. I run a chilled monthly cinema + pizza club here on CS: I choose the locations, and attendees collectively choose the film.
I just love how music (and food!) transcends all the barriers built by society. I listen to a lot of music, often in languages I don't understand. I am keen to see local live music when I travel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Danced under the warm rain, drank from the snow in the hilltops, swam into fluorescent algae, observed the magical effect sunshine has on all it touches, and the destruction its excess can cause. Rescued a dog who ended up rescuing me. Donated stem cells to a fellow human and blood to many others. Have cried for the lives taken by war, violence, illness and addiction and learnt to be grateful for what I have and who I am working to be. I have lived in an 80-person village on top of a mountain in Italy, and in culturally mixed houses and communities and squats in England. I have shared eye contact with some pretty special creatures, worked in and about the Amazon rainforest, and have met some amazing and inspiring people. Have felt deeply and freely. I met the god of the small things.
Teach, Learn, Share
May we cherish life!! Let's not take it for granted, let's take chances, let's not put things off, let's make life meaningful, be aware, raise awareness, love deeply and freely, be kind and step softly on this Earth.
I am a keen cook and baker. Know a bit about community engagement and about climate change and other socio-environmental issues, and always keen to collaborate with others on these topics.
Moreover, I'm always up for learning anything new.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My love for life and its simple pleasures, like cooking and eating and laughing and... Most likely a chat about politics and making the world a better place!
