ABOUT ME

I'm a Capricorn with Leo rising and a Sagittarius moon. I'm fucked. I'm an insomniac and an artist. I do life extreme: I drink my coffee black, my whiskey straight and I am in love with everything.

Oh, and animals really dig me. I think that's a pretty legit example of character.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe there is a greater ratio of possibility to impossibility. I believe in a collective unconscious. Also, Solipsism is cool, even if its kinda narcissistic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurf. I trade my couchsurfing for art, food, cigarettes, forties of malt liquor, insight and good company. When I have a couch, I offer that couch, without hesitation. I give when I can (and often even when I can't) and receive when it's given, despite a deep-seated societal-based nature that would force me to question anything that comes without a set, monetary price. I am open to and willing to give and share all that I have and could only hope others would do so in return. I have hosted many, friends, friends of friends and strangers passing through. Not once have I regretted it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchsurfing before I even graduated high school. I have networked with open-minded individuals and found that what you put out will indeed be returned. I lived for free with a friend's father and his post-punk band in a brooklyn studio apartment. I have come bearing pineapples and warmth and stayed with a friend and her family for weeks when things were...things. I bartended my way from 18-20 living with friends and their moms who were willing to give me a couch to crash on, a dog to curl up with and orange juice in the morning. I know the Couch well and appreciate in all of its honest glory.

Movies: Anything I can watch a hundred times and never get tired of knowing all the words: Detroit Rock City, Igby Goes Down, Human Traffic, Snatch, Eraserhead, Benny and Joon, Control, Julian Donkey Boy. Dark comedies, cult classics and whatever makes my mind buzzz. Anything Wes Anderson touches.

Music: Grunge, Punk, Post-punk, ska. Psychedelic rock, electronic. Alternative, hip-hop, folk, classic. All good vibes.
