A round the world trip to explore some history, new cultures and meet people

ABOUT ME

We are a couple, recently married who have sold our house and are taking a year off from work to travel around the world, see new things, meet new people and experience new cultures. We have been to a number of places around the world, many more than listed on our travel page. We are planning on visiting most of Europe, the far east, Australia and area, India, the Mediterranean etc over the next 16 months. There are too many locations to add to our profile.

PHILOSOPHY

Ewa - Enjoy life! Learn and experience all that this world has to offer. Choose to be happy, to live life to the fullest and to help others. Listen to your heart, your head and your spirit and you will be true to yourself.

Chad - Life is all about growing your spirit, in any way that you possibly can. Each experience is something that can teach you, or can be used to help teach someone else. There are no life events that can't be viewed from another perspective to put a positive spin on it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far the only couch surfing we've done is crashing at a friend's house. We're looking forward to meeting new people and the genuine experience of seeing a new city through the eyes of a local.

Interests

Reading, cooking, getting outdoors, many sports, sharing a pint of beer/glass of vino, conversations & debates with people over current events, politics, religion, history or other hot topics. We enjoy museums, the arts, movies, we're pretty much open for just about anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

We read/watch/listen to just about every genre. However, a few that top the list: (Authors) Naomi Klein, Eckhart Tolle, Joathan Carroll... Our music is all over the place, too many to list. Movies, as lame as it sounds, pretty much the same.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We've both travelled a little around Europe. Skydiving, hiking mountains, white water rafting, bioluminescence, surfing, scuba diving, dining in a completely dark restaurant in Montreal, sold all of our belongings at 29 to travel the world, growing our own food, loving someone else.

Teach, Learn, Share

To learn: life perspectives, history and culture of the area, new culinary ideas, a few new ideas for books to read or movies to watch.

To teach/share: engineering (mechanical) or languages (German, Polish, ESL), life experiences, home renovations.
