ABOUT ME

I am independent, fun-loving and open-minded. My passion is traveling - both to explore this amazing planet and discover the people who live on it. I moved to Homer, Alaska over 7 years ago, where I pursue a lifestyle that i love. The spectacular natural beauty of Alaska, the amazing community of people living there, and the ability to lead a relatively sustainable lifestyle which allow me to spend the winter months traveling are ideal, in my opinion. I grew up in Pennsylvania and slowly migrated up to Alaska, living first in Portland, Oregon. I spent several years working as a teacher after graduating from college, then as a Development Director for a local environmental non-profit, and now I am back to working in a restaurant - which allows me to spend my winter months traveling. I'm still not sure what I want to do when I grow up, but not a day goes by that I don't think about it. Someday, I'll figure it out - but in the meantime, i'm going to enjoy the ride.

PHILOSOPHY

I would say that my personal philosophy is to not let fear stop me from doing what I want to do and to have fun doing it.
