About Me

CURRENT MISSION

1)Get to my new sailboat. 2)Learn how to sail and other sailing related skills. 3)Sail across the Pacific to Australia or other nearby country.

ABOUT ME

First off, I have very itchy feet so i like to move around. However I get very attached to the places I've been so I always want to return once I leave a place. I really like to try new exciting activities and push myself in ones I'm already into. I've been a climber and a whitewater kayaker for a while now and often spend my free time doing one or the other. I travel as much as my financial situation allows me to and usually hit the road just as soon as I save enough cash. I like to trail run, explore, spur of the moment plans, and collecting books but not neccessarily reading them (I'm a little ADD). I have a dog name Booger who loves playing frisbee and who I miss because he now stays at my mom's place in Atlanta. Recently I've bought a sailboat with two other friends and I am on my way to California to begin a new life mission where I will learn to sail and hopefully sail across the Pacific Ocean.

PHILOSOPHY

This life is no stage rehersal. This is the real thing so I can't go wasting it away living under some rock. I just want to get out there and have something interesting to say when I'm sitting around a campfire with some friends and someone asks me what I've been up to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my absolute first time with couchsurfing and I am hoping to participate by crashing on some couches, meeting some cool folks, and then offering up a couch/spot on sailboat when I get to California

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none whatsoever, but I have a few friends who've surfed and they told me good things.

Interests

Well alot of stuff interest me. It might be easier to list things that don't interest me: stock market/business talk, malls, loans, bills, dealing with getting health insurance, talk shows and most of whats on tv. Everything else is sorta interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Labyrinth, Raising Arizona, Big Lebowski, any ski, climbing, or paddling video. Music that pumps me up, chills me out, or is good for driving to is alright with me. I like most books by, Salinger, Kerouac, Vonnegut, Robbins. I'm currently reading a lot of the books I was told to read for class in high school and college but refused to. I'm realizing why the told me to read them now because several are really good. I'm reading Desert Solitare at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched a spotted eagle ray swim by while scuba diving. They're really big. You should wikipedia that.

Teach, Learn, Share

In addition to tight rope walking, I would love to show/take someone rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, or just have fun in the back country. I can also snowboard and really want to learn how to ski. I also like learning how to cook really well and impress folks with super tasty meals.
