Adventure. The real one where your only worry is how you will make it to tomorrow.
ALL about me? Wouldn't it be very sad if all about me fit into so little a box? It would.
I have a silly sense of humour and... mhhm... ah... well, eh... hey, there's got to be more...
Don't take yourself too seriously.
And, with regards to Korakor: Spread your love! Always! Everywhere!
The simplest way to solve all problems in the world is with humour and love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Just a few Couchsurfs but I wonder how it could possibly get better... probably you can show me.
People! They prevent life from ever becoming boring...
also laughing (the kind you have no chance to resist, that comes out loud and breathtaking), the practice of wing chun, Judo, sports in general, my wonderful guitar playing which I shamefully neglect, reading (seriously: READING!!!), drawing, eating, reading while eating, dancing like a complete idiot, dancing skilfully, original conversations, singing, recognizing living clichés, surprising people, traditional chinese medicine, languages, smiles, beauty in all possible forms (of course including girls, there's nothing more beautiful to sensually experience in this world)
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Against the day, Great Expectations, Hard Times, Vanity fair, most of Terry Pratchett's works, The Dark Tower, A midsummer night's dream, Much ado about nothing, Lamb, Fool, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel, The picture of Dorian Gray, Ansichten eines Clowns, The selected works of T.S.Spivet, every book by Neil Gaiman I have read yet, Skippy dies, Little hands clapping, The second coming, The amateurs, Cryptonomicon
Music: Die Ärzte, Beirut, Frédéric Mesnier, Unduo, La rue Ketanou, The Darkness, Queen, Blink 182, Sum 41, Less than Jake, Save Ferris, Reel big fish, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphies, Real McKenzies, Infant sorrow, the Fratellis, the arctic monkeys, so many songs from the 20s, the 50s and the 60s I don't know the artists of. Depending on what I feel like Rock, Punk, Ska, Folk, Jazz, Blues, Pop and in betweens.
There's a world of music out there, I'm sure (and I hope) most music I like I don't even know yet.
Movies (I'm into movies quite a bit): Austin Powers, Wayne's world, Hot fuzz, Shawn of the dead, The boat that rocked, Pulp fiction, Kill Bill, Snatch, RocknRolla, Mean Machine, Get him to the Greek, Stranger than fiction, Dodge ball, Old school, Blades of Glory, Zoolander, Superbad, Van Wilder, Be cool, Mariachi, Pirates of the Caribbean 1, Matrix 1, Dead poets' society, Paprika, The Great dictator, Limelight, Modern Times, City lights, South park, Watchmen, Spiderman, old Kung Fu movies, Cry baby, Shoot'em up, Sin City, The nightmare before Christmas, Scott Pilgrim vs the world
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen: The Ghost of Venice; 5 really free men; a people-loving, love-loving, love-spreading Jesus from the French woods; Metelkova Street, Ljubljana; a cop both hard and friendly; true friendship; generosity and humanity; the reality of the danger to live a regrettable and/or forgettable life unless you do something about it, yourself and now;
how Manila's climate almost killed me; the incredibly beautiful Philippine mountains; a successfully concluded romance; a girl I was in love with being in love with me at the same time; the innocence of Taiwan; parents letting their little children pee on the floor in a Chinese train; how I was only a requisite in a classical comical scene of someone else's life; a Japanese/Chinese family that made me think it might be worth saving mankind; Mount Fuji from some small mountain summit climbed while just primitively walking through wilderness of Tanzawa Mountains, panting and drenched in sweat but with the feeling that I can get everywhere in this world just by means of my body; the deer in Nara; Kyoto from a vagabond's perspective; the real value of a bath and a bed
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: some songs on the guitar, some very simple magic coin tricks, acupuncture basics and of course as much German as you like
Learn: Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, at least one slavic language, Gaelic and improving my French by talking
I'd like to learn everything extraordinary or useful in any way, songs on the guitar, real magic, whatever there is about unusual medical knowledge, fighting techniques, good cooking receipes and things I can't even imagine at the present... your trick for whatever you are good at.
