Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

For surfing (9+ years): I have Couchsurfed endless times throughout the world in the past nine years. In that time I have been hosted by some truly amazing individuals, couples and groups whose warmth, kindness and hospitality has gone far beyond all expectations.

For hosting (5+ years): I have hosted a diverse range of people (in Novi Sad, Manchester and Madrid), nearly all of whom have enriched my life through their presence, conversation and ideas. If you write to me nicely, you are welcome to be my next guest :)

Staring at maps for hours.

Sampling good beers (no fizzy water lager please).

Orgasming over cheese.

Walking down every street on city maps in places I live.

Reading the ingredients list on over-processed food and drink and being disgusted.

Staying with tribespeople in Borneo, climbing Mount Kinabalu, experiencing incredible Syrian hospitality, meeting the animals in Cairo zoo, hitch-hiking from Wales to Morocco for charity, Tokyo karaoke, climbing Mount Fuji, stepping into North Korea, having a full-on sauna experience in Belarus, patting crocodiles in The Gambia, meeting a Pole and changing our plans in Romania, driving over 2,500km to Sweden and back in 4 days, living and 'working' in France for 7 months, organising Épinal's first-ever Couchsurfing meeting, driving around northern Iraq in a truck cab, being adopted into numerous Middle Eastern families, cruising around Ha Long Bay, motorbiking in motorbike-mad Hanoi, swallowing a beating snake's heart, tubing in Laos, snorkelling the coral underworld of Koh Tao, finally getting to beautiful Norway, living in crazy Serbia for ten months and going wild at EXIT and Guča festivals, living in Manchester's (in)famous Heald Palace, hitting the road to Dakhla in Western Sahara, showering in a glacial waterfall in Iceland, just Iceland in general, living in the Madrid barrio of Lavapiés, teaching and learning in Sakartvelo, and now living in Uncle Ho's City!
