ABOUT ME

The Barocco Wornom Project really started when this butterfly called rufus (masito) met a beautiful flower (ugo) and a tender, life loving ladybug (that's obviously rusty). After mucho jamming, laughs and weird conversations, ladybug and flower created The Barroco project, that aimed to lay out life into music. After a few acoustic songs, The Barroco project evolved into 100% improvised psychedelic music. This charming duet attracted a foxy bird (Cyrille) and a star (Barbara). These two stunning beings turned the project into an audio-visual improvisation group. Meanwhile, rufus continued jamming with his evergrowing family. Until BAM. The random mix of these diverse energies fused into The Barroco Wornom Project, a funky mariage of psychedelic Barroco and the world fusion of Sam Wornom. For the better and the worse.

We created this profile as a means to communicate as a whole to organise our Couchsurfing Tour in July. The concept is to travel and play in 9 cities in one month. Travelees include Rusty, Ugo, Sam, Sue, Barbara, and Monstre, our official mascot (see "Couchsurfing Experince" for links to all of our personal profiles) We'll be travelling in the Baroccomobile (Renault Kangoo equipped with a trailer) filled with us, clothes, and the equipment necessary to play gigs (lots of instruments, wires, machines, and speakers) We'll have 3-4 days in each city; one day of traveling to the city, one or two days of street music, one day of installation, performance, and uninstallation at the event site, and it all starts over again...

The philosophy behind this project is to create an uninterrupted improvisation in the multicultural and free-spirited environment that is couchsurfing! The energy launched on night 1 in Lyon, will extend and grow from city to city, finishing off with a return concert in Lyon. Each event is going to be recorded, so that at the end of the tour, there will be a musical logbook of the entire adventure.

Tout a commencé lorsque ce papillon nommé Rufus (masito) rencontra une fleur magnifique (ugo) et une tendre coccinelle épanouie (c'est évidemment rusty). Après muchos jams, rires, déboires et conversations absurdes, coccinelle et fleur créèrent The Barocco Project, sensé diffracter la vie à travers la musique. Après quelques morceaux acoustiques, le Barocco Project emprunta le chemin d'une musique psychédélique 100% improvisée. Ce charmant duo attira sur leur orbite une divine panthère (Cyrille) et une lumineuse étoile (Barbara). Ces deux êtres étonnants tournèrent le projet en un groupe d'improvisations audiovisuelles. Pendant ce temps, Rufus continua le jam auprès de sa chère famille d'artistes. Et puis BAM. L'aléatoire mélange de ces diverses énergies fusionnèrent pour donner vie au Barocco Wornom Project, un subtile mariage d'un Barocco psychédélique et d'un Sam Wornom nomade et coloré. Pour le meilleur et pour le pire.

Nous avons créé ce profile comme moyen de communiquer en tant qu'unité pour organiser notre Tournée Couchsurfing en Juillet. Le principe est de voyager dans 9 villes en un mois. Les voyageurs comprennent Rusty, Ugo, Sam, Sue, Barbara, et Monstre, notre mascotte officielle (voir "Couchsurfing Experience" pour les liens de nos profils personnels). Nous voyagerons dans la Baroccomobile (Renault Kangoo équipée d'une remorque) pleine de nous, d'habits, et de l'équipement nécessaire pour notre performance (une quantité considérable d'instruments, de câbles, de machines, et d'enceintes). Nous passeront 3-4 jours dans chaque ville; un jour de route vers la ville, un ou deux jours de musique de rue, un jour d'installation, performance et désinstallation sur l'heureux lieu, et c'est reparti...

La philosophie derrière ce projet consiste à créer une improvisation ininterrompue au sein de l'environnement multi-culturel et alternatif qu'est le Couchsurfing! L'énergie délivrée la première nuit à Lyon s'étendra et grandira de ville en ville, et prendra fin sur un concert de retour à Lyon. Chaque apparition sera enregistrée pour qu'à la fin de la tournée nous puissions éditer un carnet de voyage vidéo-musical regroupant les morceaux de l'aventure.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On a eu l'occasion de jouer a Ranchal 2, un grand meeting sur les Rhône-Alpes l'été dernier. On est aussi en train de participer à une collaboration CS avec le festival des Nuits Sonores à Lyon.
