ABOUT ME
Interests: YOGA, hip-hop, bubble tea, journalism, dogs, travel, speaking Spanish, inspiring food, wine, dancing, road trips, shoes (especially old school nikes), eBay, live shows of all sorts, diversity, talking to kids, reading, horseback riding, activism, art and working it out.
Favorite Music: Al Green, Otis Redding, Erykah Badu, Devin the Dude, Atmosphere, Beatles, The Black Crowes, OutKast, Van Morrison, MGMT, Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Goodie Mob, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, The Black Keys ... and all that Pandora wants to open my eyes to with these stations.
I love making mixes and listening to music in a completely random fashion. Shuffle all day everyday.
Favorite TV Shows: Six Feet Under. The Sopranos. Big Love. Trailer Park Boys. Dexter. South Park. Entourage. Squidbillies. Katt Williams stand up. Planet Earth (makes you want to high five god).
Favorite Movies:No Country for Old Men, Four Rooms, City of God, True Romance, Little Miss Sunshine, Harlem Nights, Blood Diamond, The Departed, all Wes Anderson's movies, Wedding Crashers, Murderball, Knocked Up, most documentarys. Thank you Netflix.
Favorite Books:I subscribe to the New Yorker because I love their poetry scattered throughout and the short fiction, but I also love the in-depth news stories. If I had the money to indulge in my hippie, save the planet side I'd subscribe to Ode magazine. I rarely seem to have the time or attention span for books, but when I do ... vonnegut, hemmingway, robbins. Right now reading Three Cups of Tea.
"Maturity is a bitter disappointment for which no remedy exists, unless laughter can be said to remedy anything." - Kurt Vonnegut
"The difference between the right word and the almost-right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug" - Mark Twain

"A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions." - Oliver Wendell Holmes
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My boyfriend and I are saving up to venture abroad. He wants to learn to "cook around the world" and I want to write, teach yoga and explore the beautiful mosaic of cultures in this world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I worked at a summer camp in the mountains of Colorado where I met many friends who I still couch surf with. I am eager to meet more couch surfing friends!
