CURRENT MISSION

Vagabonding through New England has led me to Portland, Maine. Current mission is to settle here for a couple months or so. It's just too wonderful to leave!

ABOUT ME

My creativity is often expressed via short stories and half-finsished novels. I often treat myself to plane tickets when I feel I deserve it (which can often be several times a year). I've been "the nanny" or "Megan Poppins" since graduating high school. I admittedly watch too much TV, but I'm active enough to compensate. I adore my parents. I recently joined the Peace Corps and will leave in January 2012 for THAILAND!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the CS experience, but my best friend has friends crashing on his couch from this website all the time and the second-hand experience interests me. I would love to open my home to others on account of the fact that I love to meet new people. I also often feel the need to get out of San Antonio and when the wanderlust kicks in, it would be nice to have a free place to stay where I can also meet new folks. Usually, I do the live-in nanny thing when I want to experience a new city, but that hasn't been the best resource. (I get too attached!) So instead of living in every city I wish to experience, maybe I should just crash on your couch for a few days.
