About Me

ABOUT ME

Since graduating college a few years back my life has primarily been dedicated to climate change activism -- building a movement to fight climate change and promote peace and social justice. Amidst all the actions and campaigns of the last years (most recently with www.350.org) I managed to fit in a fair bit of hiking and ultimate frisbee. I'm a pretty quiet and easy-going person -- sometimes looking to just reflect more inwardly and other times very excited to explore almost any realm of discussion and enjoy new company.

Also, in 2016 Anne and I become parents and now have our lovely daughter, Haya, with us (which adds a layer of complexity to couchsurfing).

PHILOSOPHY

Look to this day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and surfed a few times each, but have mostly had little luck in coinciding with both surfers and hosts. Hopefully I'll gain more experience moving forward.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Outside of the official CS Project I am a pretty regular couch surfer among friends and friends of friends -- and I generally have a great time throughout.

Interests

Oof, the list is too long! Stopping climate change certainly tops the list.

And outside the climate movement my life mostly consists of hiking and playing in the mountains or ultimate frisbee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Again, a long list. The moments that have left me awestruck general take place out in the wilds of the mountains, but on a superficial level perhaps one of the most remarkable things I've ever done is snorkel in a Maldivian island lagoon above a presidential cabinet meetings held underwater by the president to highlight the threat of rising seal levels. Still hard to believe that's something I've done.
