I want to see and experience as much as I can while I still have the relative luxury to do so! I want to seek experiences, knowledge, relationships, life, everything!

ABOUT ME

I never know what to write in these little boxes but here goes. I'm currently in my junior year of university and am studying abroad in Scotland this year which is allowing me to do a lot more traveling. I love seeing new things, doing new things, experiencing new things. I love to cook and trying new foods is one of the most exciting things about travel for me so I'd love to meet any more foodies out there! History is my major but I'm also minoring in Medieval Renaissance Studies and Anthropology with the hope of eventually doing graduate work in Folk Studies. The part of History I love to study the most is the day-to-day lives of the "normal" people; folk music and nutritional anthropology are particularly interesting. Okay, geek moment is over:) I love to read and, at the moment, am particularly obsessed with novels out of India, Pakistan and the Middle East. I'm big into saving the planet and the people in it-hippies of the world unite! I think that about sums it up . . .

PHILOSOPHY

Knowledge is pretty much always a good thing. Even if you have a bad experience, you learn something. Love everything and everyone!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't ever done Couch Surfing before but a friend recommended it to me. Currently, I don't have a couch on which anyone can crash but once I move back to the States I'll be happy to accommodate!

Bon Iver is on a loop on my Ipod at the moment. I just finished a book called A Golden Age; it was amazing. I like funny movies on the one side and documentaries that flare up my liberal guilt on the other side.

I saw the Highlands again and it's got to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. It felt like a homecoming.
