to have a relaxing summer break so as to be fresh and ready to go in the fall.

ABOUT ME

i am a mom in everything i do. i have a son and a dog that are always begging to go outside and never want to come in. they keep me going, even when the weather is bad.
i teach math to very reluctant college students. they, too, just want to be outside all the time. they listen better than the 3 year old son and the 5 year old dog...sometimes.
perhaps the person i have the hardest time convincing to come inside, is myself...especially at this time of year when the weather is changing.

PHILOSOPHY

just hosted my first surfer. great experience! can't wait to host others!

interested in: being on the move outside; dancing anywhere (belly dancing, hip-hop are my current obsessions but i love to contra-dance and just generally get down); listening to music; reading; singing and otherwise making "music"; meeting new people outside of the beautiful place i call home.

books need to keep me interested from the first page. i'm not into self-help. i like novels, though not of the epic proportion.
i'll listen to just about anything. my son and i have a great time dancing to bluegrass.
i don't own a tv; going to the movies is a very nice treat for myself. i do like to watch the oscars. i often get movies from the library (filmmovement is great!)
