ABOUT ME

Hi!

my name is Federico. I was born 26 years ago in La Plata, in Argentina. I moved to a small town in the Buenos Aires province named Rojas when I was a little kid. I lived there until I was 18 and then I moved to Buenos Aires to study music.

I can play a couple instruments (such as guitar, the drums, some percussion, harmonica, piano), but the main one would be the Bass Guitar. I studied at Escuela de Musica Contemporanea (former satellite of Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) in Buenos Aires for 4 and a half years.

I went to the states and lived in Saint Paul, Minnesota, for 6 months. I studied and worked for the University of Saint Thomas. I took history courses and performed on a Jazz Big Band and an African Music Ensemble while I was there. The other part of it, the work, was to teach or better said, tutor, americans studying spanish.

After that, I moved to Rosario (Santa Fe province, Argentina) and stayed there for a couple of months working as waiter in a bar and a receptionist at a hostel.

And now... HOME! yay! I'm in La Plata and been hosting people for lil' over three years now.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer my apartment to any person/s interested on sharing experiences, talking, listening to music, relax, get in touch with different cultures, have fun!, discuss books, swap things, love people and love life, etc.

Maybe you already have a place to stay but no familiar faces? We can go out for a walk, night walk, drinks, get together in some place, etc. I would love to show you around in lesser words.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've hosted four people:

a loving peruvian/german girl and her friend from the basque country, an amazin' biochemist from australia, and a french teacher in the making who was just as amazing as the rest of my experiences.

I've been into some teaching as well as studying when it comes to musical styles, harmony, improvisation skills, bass handling and techniques, spanish and english. I love doing it! I enjoy it so much!

I'm a big fan of history books too and though I never formally studied it, I've read a lot about it and would love to discuss anything with anyone interested.
