About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to see all those special places no one ever heard of before..
ABOUT ME
Hi, I guess I can say I'm an openminded person.
I have studied organic-dynamic agriculture, lived in Belgium, Holland and Norway but, I'm currently working as a sailor (soon to become captain) - first on a sailingvessel (northsea and waddenzee north-holland) - but now working on a large tankship (110mx11,45) going between Belgium-Holland-Germany and Switserland. My work is the reason why it's hard for me to have guests over. I'm not home for over 7 months a year -or more- myself. But it's also nice to participate in other ways like meetings and grand tours of unknown places!
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing is good, nothing is bad, evrything just IS!
You can only regret the things you didn't do..
Follow your feet..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm on land, most of the time I spent in a town called Kampenhout. It's nice area with lots of routes to do some walking. It's a pretty green area for a location right in between the cities of Leuven, Mechelen and Brussels (all in a distance of about 25km).
So, you can relax under a tree in Kampenhout, enjoy the silence, read your book and at night you can go out in the beautifull studentcity Leuven or Mechelen (easily reachable by bike along the channel or bus) or enjoy some culture in Brussels (easily reachable with any kind of -public- transportation).
I can show you around in Kampenhout, I enjoy making some thea, go for a walk and talk about my adventures in both organic dynamic agriculture as about my adventures beeing a sailor. But I'm also a great listener and can enjoy people telling stories all day!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
the polyglot meeting in brussels the 3th of april 2009
I hosted Xavier for one night after the polyglot meeting
unfortunatly no further real experiences with CS due to my carreer on water

Music, Movies, and Books
music;; jazz, funk, reggae, roots, classical music, even punk and metal/grindcore ..
I can appreciate most of styles, but I prefer some nice acoustic, jazzy sounds!
Art;; From painting, drawing and writing to woodsculpture and metalwork (welding)
books;;
Mostly plant and Herb guides! haha
I like books that tell stories but are all together informative. I'm not into the fantasy stuff, my mind is already filled with enough crazy things.
