ABOUT ME

We returned in 2015 from living in Rwanda as Peace Corps Volunteers. Kirsten taught English and Doug taught art, music, and drama in secondary school. Now we live and work in St. Louis.

Doug- I spend most of my time painting or drawing. The rest of my time is spent with my best friends: my wife and my son. I also enjoy reading, birdwatching, and playing piano.

Of course I like to travel as well. I have been to several countries in Europe, I've been to the holy lands, and have couchsurfed all around America.

I moved to Missouri for school, and got married in the Summer of '08.

Kirsten- I LOVE to travel and have been to 45 states. I've also been overseas a few times.

PHILOSOPHY

Never let money stop you from doing what you want to do. Be responsible, but live life to the fullest! You only get one chance.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have couch surfed quite a bit now and have enjoyed every minute of it. We also have loved having people stay with us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Summer '09 we took a huge United States road trip and couch surfed with tons of different people. We have surfed again several times since then.

We enjoy hosting when we can.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Doug- I moved 2,000 miles away from home to be with the woman I love. We got married less than a year later. But more importantly...I've played Elton John's piano!

Kirsten- I had an all-natural childbirth, which was incredible. It was the best experience of my life and something I will always cherish with my husband and son.
