About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am trying to figure out what and where I want to be.
ABOUT ME
Recently, I have moved away from my hometown to discover my motivation/passion in life.
I have set up temporarily residence in California.
PHILOSOPHY
After teaching and being around children for so long, I feel that my personal philosophy could be summed up in one word: RESPECT.
This idea could be stretch across the world or pinpoint a situation to the millisecond. In America today, at least what I have seen, we have lost almost all respect for who we are, where we came from and where we are going. I wish there were more programs like CS to teach and spread the respect that our world is missing.
As Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." Maybe one day, in my travels, teaching, acting, thinking I can instill the respect that I wish to receive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am looking forward to surfing in the very near future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was during SXSW in July of 2011. I highly recommend doing SXSW the way the Austin residents do it!
Interests
I have recently learned a appreciation for film. I am by no means a movie buff, but I do enjoy the occasional epic award winner.
Music is definitely something that can soothe me, tear me down, make me cry tears of joy/sadness or completely shake me to the core. I have the most open mind when it comes to music. I try my best not to discriminate against any genre. I know that instruments are very important to its creation process, but the voice is what ties human souls together in melodic song.
Hand me any kind of sporting equipment and I will either play it with you or ask you to teach me how to play it. I'll do this regardless how stupid I look :]
I have also tried my hand at artistic media. I managed to crank out a few drawings. I need more training and confidence. Trying to move an idea from inside your head to the eyes and hears of some else is very hard, but extremely fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing that I have ever done is teaching a four year old how to tie his shoes. The look in his eyes when the knot and bow, almost magically, appeared in between his chubby little fingers was pretty inspiring. I like to think about the idea that I taught him something that he will use for the rest of his life. It's a nice feeling.
