About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm working on my undergrad in environmental toxicology with a chemistry minor at Western Washington University. It's in Bellingham, WA which is probably one of the best cities to live in. I have a lot of interests but right now, I'm really into working outside in my vegetable garden, sketching (and any other form of art), playing cribbage, being active whether it's riding my bike everywhere, going on hikes, jumping into rivers, etc. (basically anything away from the gym). I also love to read and play music. I love love love food and wine! I buy great organic produce and foods at my local co-op, and can cook up a mean vegetarian meal (I do eat fish on occasion). I think I'm easy to get along with and always up for an adventure!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much yet, I'm hoping to start hosting when my apartment opens up a bit. After I finish school, I hope to take full advantage of couchsurfing around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy watching movies (as long as it's not sunny outside). Music is a great passion of mine. I love to listen to anything with intelligent, thought-provoking, or unique lyrics, which include a lot of indie rock. One of my all time favorites is Rilo Kiley. I have a special place in my heart for Dave Matthews. Right now I'm listening nonstop to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (new album is amazing!). I can pretty much appreciate anything except modern country (sorry, can't stand the twangy male vocals).

Books... I love everything from classical literature to politics to botany. I'm sort of reading One Hundred Years of Solitude at the moment (but it's hard to find the time between reading textbooks for school). Even though I have a million books on my to-read list, I always appreciate a good recommendation!
