ABOUT ME
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area but I'm in the process of moving to New York City for grad school. I love new experiences, great food, the outdoors but also urban life, and to travel almost anywhere when I have the opportunity (and the money)! I just got back from a month in Southeast Asia...
PHILOSOPHY
"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page."
Saint Augustine, 354-430 AD
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed with a great guy in Amman--he hosted from all over the middle east while I was there (Syria, Lebanon, Israel) and we had epic spontaneous adventures to the Dead Sea and random canyons in the Jordanian wilderness! I've been hooked ever since.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went spelunking (caving) underneath Budapest, hiked to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, rode a bicycle in Cambodian traffic, and managed to discover a microbrewery in Palestine! (The Taybeh Brewery, if you're curious)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share travel experiences across the world as well as the history and culture of many places, whether I've visited them or not; practical health and nutrition info, and holistic health; I can teach Spanish to anyone willing to learn; info on US National Parks; I know a lot about science (I have my Bachelors in Biochemistry, getting a Masters in Climate & Society); and I can tell you all about delicious beer!
