I like to be spontaneous and laugh. I love travel- as well as the fun times, amazing sights and people I've met, it's helped me to be more patient and to appreciate life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to meet travellers/people in the CS community and where possible have people stay with me. I spent a fair chunk of 2010/11 travelling in Sth America and the UK.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A bit of informal couch surfing and hosted a few couchsurfers. I've had the pleasure of staying on the couch of my first ever couch surfer at her home in Paris.

Interests

Travel- new people, places and culture, it just excites me.

I love animals, watching them, playing with them and looking after them. I have a dog Jordy (kelpie/collie cross) an overly friendly bundle of excitement.

Books; Working in media I do read the paper every day but mostly read books on holiday when I can enjoy my preferred cover to cover in a few days style of reading. I like historical fiction, biographical and travel related books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently I took a year away from work and spent 6months of that in Sth America. I made some life long friends. Went to a Baptism party in Peru, enjoyed Iguazu falls, argentine BBQ, the jungle the north coast and the Carribean.

Watched the sunrise over Angkor Wat, floated down the Mekong river, hung out with orangutans in Borneo and snorkelling off the Mystery Islands.

For me art is amazing buildings my favourites include; the Allhambra in Southern Spain, the Sagrada Famillia in Barcelona and other great Gaudi masterpieces, a golden church in Orvietto Italy, the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, the Angkor temples of Cambodia and the amazing ruins of Machu Pichu.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can click my fingers, wolf whistle and tie my own shoe laces and am happy to pass on these mad skills.

I'll help you with your English skills- I'd love to practice my rusty Spanish.

I can mess with the tambourine but please if you are looking at forming a skilled band requiring real instruments or a good singing voice I'm not your girl.

I've tried my hand at loads of different activities though my skill level at many is questionable I'm willing to give them all another crack. Netball, horse riding, swimming, tennis, basketball, ultimate frisbee, softball, darts, table tennis, pool, bowling, rubgy union, volleyball, dancing, hacky sack, knuckles, skipping, elastics, coits, bingo, poker, snorkelling, kayaking.
