About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting to know a lot of interesting people; get a feeling of what is called freedom. Try to accept, that my profile is always a bit out of date :)
ABOUT ME
I grew up on a small island in the baltic sea, thats why I like nature and swimming in the sea so much (and not so much in city lakes). My home also provided me with patience and favour for silence and tranquility (though I don't need it but enjoy it sometimes).
I also climb in the Saxonian Switzerland and around my hometown, but trees and artificial stuff isn't secure too :) (I would like to do parcour later.)
Also I play in a improvisation theatre group since end of 2010 and had some perfomances, one as a match in another city. I think everybody should try it. There are a lot of nice and simple exercises.
PHILOSOPHY
Freedom is one important part of my philosophical thoughts. Sometimes it's meant literally that my brain takes its freedom not to philosophise although I like it. Philosophiing can reveal a very lot of things in this world.
I also prefer the buddhist thinking about the mindfulness, the overvaluation of the ego
... but I'm still fallible :)
And improvisation theatre provides a inspiring set of mind: to act in the moment, to listen to your inner impulse and use it, to ignore the fear and excuses which come to your mind and just do it. Last not least, say Yes (I'm sure there more to say about it.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As host, surfer and beeing someone, who shares the ideas of it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Tried it out spontaneously in Hamburg, couldn't carry on in Rostock, but later in Prague I was surfing together with a good friend and these were good experiences and the start of a lot more: After that I started hosting, always to keep this high standard so I get the feeling to really get to know my surfers and hosts. This takes time, which I sometimes don't have, but I will try.
Interests
Due to the fact I want to see a lot more parts of the world, I will try learn more French and I started learning Spanish.
Nature, photographing, thunderstorms (and forces of nature in general), computers, music, sport (yes, both in general :), climbing in special, playing and seeing theatre (esp. improvised), good films.

Music, Movies, and Books
Where to start? Music: I like a lot of stuff, but rocking to electro, dancing around to ska, getting goose pimples during a piano play and singing to rock and alternate music puts it in a nutshell.
If I had to decide for a genre in film, I would choose drama and sci-fi, but there are many good other films.
At the moment I'm working myself through "Valis" of Philip K. Dick. I should read more like the day should have more hours ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in Hamburg couchsurfing, there was a building - about 15m high - which was full of good graffiti. I really like street art.
In Olot (Catalunya, Spain) we where hiking up a volcano and suddenly the wood (from our perspective its more a jungle) thinned out and we were approaching a fog filled abyss.
Although we only passed by and stopped for 1 minute, but the purely turquoise, gigantic, mountain surrounded Laggio Maggiore was fantastic.
Teach, Learn, Share
Wie wärs mit ein bisschen Deutsch? :) (How about a bit of German?)
Explaining physical phenomena, how to solve some mathmatical problems. I think I can help you, if you have problems with your computer or your bike.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Dance, Sing, Improv, (if in a good mood also writing :) ... all the creative stuff I like to spend time with. And I like to cook with people, although i like the role of the kitchen helper, e.g. cutting vegetables etc. while getting to know each other :)
