ABOUT ME

I'm just beginning to be able to explore, and have become addicted to mini-adventures, especially ones that involve water of any kind. I am an optimist and complete people person. (I like everyone I meet!) I enjoy offbeat people, places, movies, art, everything. That's all for now, it's terrible trying to describe myself here!

PHILOSOPHY

Take a step back and breathe, enjoy the little things that no one else notices. Be nice to everyone you meet, maybe you'll make their day. Pick out the funny looking mutt at the pound or the strange plant at the nursery and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I've just started, but I'll become more active during the summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed twice with my Husband Dmitry. I was scared at first but within 10 seconds the first people who hosted me put me at ease. I loved simply joking away over food with people, and the first couch was amazing. The second time we stayed in a wonderful house in Florida, the best part of that being the four dogs we played with (hey it makes a huge difference). I have loved it so far and think it's a wonderful idea! Couchsurfing is a great way for a new nurse and a grad student to be able to afford to travel.

Interests

DIY house projects (just finished the kitchen) swimming, snorkeling, hiking, camping, hammock swinging, gardening, nursing, new foods, napping, and I enjoy the occasional concert too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mostly that I'm alive and functioning! I've been stung by a man of war, had 25 stitches on my face (almost no scars!), like to hike at the worst times (Arizona in July), get lost every time I travel, and basically am a shark magnet. These are good things to me, I like having stories! Also, it's amazing to me to see the difference that nursing care can make in a person's life. Most people on this site seem young and healthy, but one day you'll appreciate it!

Well everyone already calls me up if something is wrong health-wise. I'm a new nurse but I can usually tell you when you need to see a doctor, or if you should be worried! I can tell you how to keep yourself healthy.
