About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying Europe

ABOUT ME

A lover of books, good food and some addictive Brazilian Popular Music. I see travel as a mixture and a result of all these three passions and many more to come on the journey...I always travel on the Couchsurfing way as it is the best way to know not just a place, but have a full personal experience sharing moments and stories with a local friend in potential...as the world is so small, we are all neighbours, we should talk!

Interests

A travel is worth a thousand of books, I have once heard. But some books are also worth a thousand travels. Then why not to mix 1000 books with 1000 travels? This enriching mixture would get even better with 1000 people, 1000 languages and 1000 ways of seeing the world.
I am a Brazilian pursuing a Master's degree in the Spanish city of Cadiz. The choice of coming to Spain was not casual: I love all about its people,History and arts in a way that I feel at home here. My routine is basically doing the academic works and writting a thesis about the disputed enclave of Gibraltar. Some songs of Marisa Monte and Gilberto Gil (to quote the most famous in Brazil) are a good help to keep my mind fresh on this task.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in 3 different countries, for study and work, to say: Brazil (my beloved home country), United States (working for Disney World in Orlando and at the Organization of American States in Washington DC) and Spain (as an exchange student in Santiago de Compostela and a Master's candidate in Cádiz).
I made a backpacking trip around Europe in 2009 for one month (Paris, Rome, Brussels, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid), a trip to Morrocco (camping in the Sahara desert) and the pilgrimage through the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago), for cultural reasons.
