ABOUT ME

I am a single mother of a beautiful 2 year old boy. Recently we embraced a different lifestyle, bored of living in cities with depression,pollution, and no space to run about and grow plants, we decided to come to my family house in Tomar. It was hard in the beginning but now we are fully adapted and feel very lucky for having the opportunity to grow our own food and have all the space we need.
I dont really need to be constantly surrounded by people, and i do appreciate my own space, but lately, more and more friends have been coming to see me, and it is always a great experience both for me and for aleks.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is that each one has its own philosophy, and most important thing for me, is that we must respect eachother . I base my life on respect for nature, people (the ones that deserve respect..) and mostly for myself.
I am aware of how this planet is self destructing itself...climate change, wars, economical colapses... and the only way i can feel i am doing something about it, is by living here, by growing my food, by trying to be as self sufficient as possible and showing other people that you CAN lead a life without interfering negatively with what or who surrounds you.

Interests

gardening (is also my job), permaculture, recycling materials and turn them into new items, dress-making, cooking and baking , languages...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the great barrier reef, and the desert in australia was dazzling.
Ivory coast and Ghana were pretty exceptional too.

Teach, Learn, Share

can offer some basic gardening skills, but mostly i think people could be interested with the fact i am good with languages , and i was teaching portuguese back in the uk. I can speak portuguese, italian, english and spanish very well. Try my best with french but dont think i could teach it.

I would like to learn so many things... proper dress making and machine sewing, so i could get better at it! more gardening and crop experience is always welcome! also wish i knew a bit more about photography. i could stay here all day mentioning things i would like to learn...
