ABOUT ME

We, Jöran (31) and Christin (25) are a couple, exploring the world.

the last year we lived apart from each other, Jöran in the USA and Christin in Mexico. Now, finally, we live in the same city (Marburg) and we love it here.

Jöran is writing on his PhD in computer sciences and Christin just started her master degree in Adventure Education.

Jöran is traveling around the world a little longer than Christin. We love to see different cultures and people and don't want vacations the "normal" way... ;) We want to meet local people to get to know the area better than just by being "sightseeing"tourists.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had our first couchsurfing experience in Spain, and it was great!! not long after that, Christin lived in Mexico and the couchsurfing community of Morelia changed her life with all the friends she met there. She surfed lots of couches in the same city and some couches over and over again. people were just amazing. Jöran got to know quite a few people in the US through cs meetings and activities. And also we surfed a lot during our journeys throughout mexico.

So we have experiences lots of welcoming hosts, great parties and finally want to give some of it back and be hosts, too :)

Christin: guitar, Ultimate Frisbee, fun boardgames, good food... :D, and I am vegetarian, which isnt that important, but maybe saves us some uncomfortable situations.. :D

We experienced, how great AND how helpful it is, to meet local people of the area you visit. Its the best way to get tips what to do, what to see and to learn as much as possible about culures and livestyles. Knowing different people and different cultures helps te define yourself!!

And we can teach you some guitar, Jöran is a good cook, so some real german cooking shouldnt be a problem..
